Dear City of Tucson, I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the current state of the lake at John F Kennedy Park. My friends reserved a ramada at the park for a party this past Saturday, and we were extremely disappointed with the conditions we encountered. Firstly, we found that all of the bathrooms at the park were locked, leaving several members of our party struggling with a lack of facilities during the event. This was unacceptable and made it very difficult for our guests to enjoy themselves. Secondly, we were shocked to find a multitude of dead fish lying on the banks of the lake. These fish were clearly rotting and had been there for quite some time, creating a huge health hazard and an incredibly unpleasant environment for all who were present. As residents of Tucson, we are deeply concerned about the state of our parks and public spaces. We were particularly upset to see the state of John F Kennedy Park, as we had hoped to share its beauty and amenities with our out-of-town guests who are considering moving to our city. Instead, they were appalled by what they saw and are now reconsidering their plans to move here. We urge you to take immediate action to address these issues and ensure that our public spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming for all. Specifically, we request that the bathrooms at John F Kennedy Park are kept open and that efforts are made to remove the dead fish from the lake. We hope that you will take our concerns seriously and take the necessary steps to improve the conditions at John F Kennedy Park and other public spaces throughout the city. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Colin Easom
